Kiiltopaju  Tea-leaved Willow

Pysty pensas; (0,5–) 2–3 m. Oksat kaljuja, puna- tai kellanruskeita, kuoren alta sileitä,
vuosikasvaimet kaljuja. Lehtilapa 3–8 cm, soikea, päältä tummanvihreä, kiiltävä, alta sinertävänvalkoinen. Ennen lehtien puhkeamista kukkiva. IV–V. Rannoilla, korvissa, viljely- ja laidunmaiden ojissa, tienvarsilla, hylätyillä pelloilla ja niityillä. 

Shrub to 4m. Young shoots slightly hairy, but mature branches shiny reddish-brown. Leaves ovete-lanceolate to 8 cm, toothed, hairless, pointed, rather leathery in texture, shiny green above, dull greyish-green beneath, stipules small or absent. Lacally frequent in a variety of wet habitats to 1,700m. FL. 4–5. Br Local in hills and mountains from the mid-Pennines northwards.
